Survivorship Program

For many who battle cancer, a second fight begins once treatment ends.  When diagnosed with cancer, treatment and getting better become your primary job. When treatment is complete, emotions surface and you are faced with a new set of challenges. It can be very difficult, but it’s not something you have to get through on your own. That is why the Cancer Partnership developed a Survivorship Program.

A major component of the program is an eight-week seminar series, offered at no charge to survivors and open to anyone with any type of cancer, regardless of where they received treatment. The series offers a place to connect with other survivors to talk about building resiliency, self esteem and body image, finding hope and meaning, and living with uncertainty. The sessions are facilitated by a behavioral health doctoral intern and a volunteer who is a cancer survivor, with guest speakers from the nursing, nutrition and integrative medicine fields.
